Tickets
Besides standard tickets, you can also buy the following tickets from the Maastricht Tourist Office:
- Excursion ticket: a return journey on the same day to any destination in Belgium for 20 euros.
- Senior citizens’ ticket: unlimited validity at weekends as well as from 9.00 AM on weekdays, for 10 euros.
- Youth ticket: valid all day, costing 15 euros. This ticket is available for young people aged between 12 and 25 years inclusive.
- Child fares: up to 11 years of age free of charge. These fares apply only if the children are accompanied by a paying passenger aged 12 or over (max. 4 children).
- The weekend ticket is an attractively-priced ticket valid from 7.00 PM on Friday until Sunday evening.
Tickets are issued for travel by a named individual on a particular date
All tickets purchased at the Maastricht Tourist Office are issued in the passenger’s name and for a particular date. This means that the ticket must be printed with the correct name as given on your identity card/passport/driving license (which you will need to show) and that the date of travel is known. This applies to all travellers.
Departure from Maastricht CS
The Maastricht-Brussels Express train leaves Maastricht Central Station once an hour. An hour and 20 minutes later, you arrive in the capital of Europe. (The journey time may be longer in the evening and at weekends, and you will probably need to change trains). Maastricht is also the ideal point of departure for one of the other 104 destinations in Belgium.Points of sale
