Music

Organ music can be heard coming from a church. The sounds of André Rieu’s orchestra float towards you in the open air, and at the Centre Céramique you can listen to the promising new stars of Maastricht and Europe. Be moved, surprised and enchanted by the rich palette of sounds reaching your ears this summer in the most beautiful city in the Netherlands. Read more about it in the section on Music.

Musical Notes for Lunch

Just as the sun is climbing to its highest point, students of the Maastricht Academy of Music start to play in the Centre Céramique. Exactly what will be played remains a surprise until the very last minute, and can range from classical to jazz and from choral music to a soloist. All genres are possible. Musical lunches are scheduled at 12:30 PM on 17 June, 15 July and 19 August. Entrance is free.

Music on centuries-old organs

Organ music can be heard wafting through Maastricht. The notes travel in various directions as they bounce off the cobblestones, coming not from the Markt but from various churches. Starting on 11 July, Maastricht will be hosting the L'Europe et L'Orgue organ music festival. Leading international organists will be playing the most beautiful melodies on the centuries-old organs of this city on the banks of the Meuse. To view the programme, visit: maastrichtsuitburo.nl
