Markets

Take your time as you shuffle by the various wares on display, surrounded by the scents of fresh vegetables and fruits, or perhaps on the lookout for that antique boudoir or a particular record that will complete your collection. Maastricht has many of these markets both in the city centre and outside, and during the week as well as at the weekend.

Wares- and Fish market

The so-called small wares market is held in Maastricht every Wednesday, and on Friday it is the turn of the large general wares market: both take place on the large central Market square (Markt). Wednesdays from 8 a.m. untill 1 p.m. Fridays from 8 a.m. untill 2 p.m.

Organic market

At the square with the clock on Stationsstraat (main street leading away from the train station), there is an organic farmers’ market every Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., specialising in organically grown or produced products.

Flea market

Every Saturday, a flea market is held along Stationsstraat from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
