Schuilen in Maastricht / Kazematten

In September 2004, a small new museum opened its doors in Maastricht, appropriately named “Taking cover in Maastricht”. Housed in one of the underground galleries in the Kazematten (a system of underground tunnels and bunkers), the museum focuses on the air-raid shelters of Maastricht, prepared for use in the period 1940-1945 and during the Cold War.
