Gouvernement on the meuse

The Gouvernement (Province House) of Limburg (1986) is a very interesting building from an architectonic point of view, built along the Meuse and partly on an island in the river. The ‘Gouvernement’ is famous for the Treaty of Maastricht. This treaty laid the basis for the Euro. The table on which the Treaty was signed in 1992 reminds the visitor of this European summit held in Maastricht.
