Bonnefantenmuseum Maastricht

The much talked-about city quarter of Céramique is home to the striking building housing the Bonnefanten Museum, designed by the famous Italian architect Aldo Rossi. It is a place in which to marvel at great art: from centuries- old sculptures and paintings to the most modern developments in the area of visual arts. The collection of contemporary art is youthful, internationallyoriented. The emphasis within classical art lies on Flemish paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries and early Italian paintings (13th to the end of the 15th century).
