From 1773 to 1777, the fortifications expert Du Moulin developed the plans for the Hoge Fronten, a complex of fortifications over an area of approx. 15 hectares, consisting of a network of dry trenches and bastions containing bomb shelters and mine galleries. One of these spaces has been converted into an exhibition area. A visit supervised by an expert guide lasts about 1 hour; not accessible for wheelchairs.

Opening hours: every Sunday (except for 14 February) at 3 PM; in July and August every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 3 PM.
