Would you like to see what the city looks like from the Meuse River? Rederij Stiphout has several tour boats ready and waiting. For example, you can take a cruise on the Meuse, which can be combined with an excursion through the underground marl passageways beneath St. Pieter's Mountain (St. Pietersberg). You can also take part in a day cruise to Liège or a cruise around Maastricht, including passage through 4 different locks: the “Border Cruise”. Or you can embark for a Saturday Night Cruise with entertainment and an ample cold & warm buffet. A brunch boat cruise on Sunday morning is also an option.
All cruises depart from our landing at Maaspromenade 58, between the St. Servatius Bridge (St. Servaasbrug) and the Wilhelmina Bridge (Wilhelminabrug), within the pedestrian-only zone in the city centre. For information on how to find us and parking options, go to: www.stiphout.nl.

MAASTRICHT-LIÈGE ROUNDTRIP
Departure in Maastricht on the river Maas continuing on the Albert Canal by passing the locks of Ternaaien first. The Albert Canal cleaves through Mount Saint Pieter. Once you have arrived in Liege, landing stage is at Quai Charles de Gaulle you will have a few hours
time to discover the city. A brochure with two city walks is available on board. On Sundays the wellknown flea market on the ‘Batte’ is worth a visit.

BORDER VOYAGE
Leaving from Maastricht, going upstream, passing through the lock of Bosscherveld to the Zuid Willemsvaart (1825). Again we pass a series of locks on our way to the Albert Canal. Sometimes steep walls up to 60 metres rise next to you.

CRUISE TO THE HISTORIC INNER HARBOUR, ‘T BASSIN
Boat & Boat We depart from the Maaspromenade (riverside boulevard) for the historic inner harbour ‘t Bassin, passing through a lock dating from 1825. After mooring in ’t Bassin, you can take your time looking around this lovely little bit of Maastricht before reboarding the boat for the return trip to the centre of Maastricht.

Boat & Walk
You take the boat from the Maaspromenade (riverside boulevard) to ’t Bassin, after which you walk back to the centre along an interesting route. You can also reverse the order of this programme: first a walk from the centre of Maastricht (starting from the Tourist Office
(VVV), at Kleine Staat 1, or from the landing stage of Rederij Stiphout) to ’t Bassin and making the return journey to the centre by boat.

SLAVANTE PACKAGE
You start out with a boat trip up river to the foot of Mount St. Peter. After a brief but steep walk uphill, you arrive at the Slavante Country Estate. This is your point of departure for a tour through the caves underneath the mountain. Depending upon the time of day, you
will be served lunch at the Slavante Country Estate before or after the tour. At the end of the trip, the boat will bring you back to Maastricht.
Duration approx. 4 hours.
Number of persons: Groups of 10 to 50 persons. Reservation necessary.

BOAT TRIP FROM MAASTRICHT TO VISÉ
The boat departs at 10.00 a.m. from the landing stage between the St. Servaas Bridge and the Wilhelmina Bridge. The trip takes you through various locks, including the famous “Stop van Ternaaien”, with a drop of 15 metres, and the smaller lock at Visé. During the outward trip, you will be served a cup of coffee and a piece of vlaai (traditional Limburg sweet flan) (included in the price). We will arrive in Visé around 12.00 noon, where you can enjoy the beautiful landscape and the fascinating regional market. At 2.00 p.m., the boat departs for the return trip to Maastricht.
