Restaurants with a variety of cuisines at special locations will be serving delicious three course meals (starter, main course and coffee/dessert) for the symbolic price of €25.20. Each meal purchased includes a small donation of 20 euro cents to Extraordinary Ones, an initiative by Leon Aarts from Maastricht.
Small Change, Big Difference : each donation is enough to provide a child with a meal at school. Cooking enthusiasts searching for special ingredients can find a variety of Maastricht aan Tafel package deals at the Bisschopsmolen, Maison Blanche Dael and the VVV (tourist office) shop. Each activity/package sold also includes a contribution to Extraordinary Ones. Leon Aarts started as a chef and later restaurant owner and wholesaler of fine foods to top end restaurants in London like Gordon Ramsay. He is founder of Extraordinary Ones. Leon says; ‘’Extraordinary Ones is a non profit and our goal is to feed children in schools worldwide from developing countries to close to home. How?
